The bottom line
(AKA: Charges)
I do my best to keep charges to the bare minimum so I just have two simple rates (and for anything else, please do enquire as I can customise a package for you:
- Option 1: £24 per hour for searches
- (e.g. one-offs, looking for something specific). You will receive a full update/report on the topic requested for ad-hoc searches (£24/h) within a set timeframe to be quoted.
- Option 2: £250 for a full Direct Line
- This will take you back at least to the 1700s (and possibly before that date if the information is available) on a family surname. These include details of close family such as wife, children etc of each generation, vital statistics, plus any other details I find en-route to help fill in the family picture – these could be in the form of newspaper clippings, information from archives and external sources, registers, etc.
- There are 3 BMD certificates included in this package from the General Register Office. This package takes 5-6 weeks to compile because of the detailed effort involved (there can also be a wait of a couple of weeks when documents are ordered from archives/GRO). This package makes an excellent gift.
